Shelby Humane Society is experiencing an abnormally high number of animal surrenders due to the increasing population of our county. These animal surrenders are growing each and every day. Shelby Humane Society took in over 7,000 animals in 2005. That number will increase for 2006. We are experiencing financial difficulties in order to care for these animals and finding them new loving homes.
