The HUMANE SOCIETY OF INDEPENDENCE COUNTY is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to helping animals in Independence County. We rescue stray and injured animals, provide temporary care for homeless dogs and cats through foster homes and our shelter facility, and adopt homeless pets to approved permanent homes.
Our mission is to aid the citizens of Independence County in the adoption and rescue of abandoned, abused, or injured animals. The Humane Society of Independence County believes that a strong bond between humans and animals is beneficial to both parties, creating an atmosphere of love and companionship that will last a lifetime.
