The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector
Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.
The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give
To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.
The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy
At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Save Our Strays is an information service organization dedicated to improving the relationship between domestic pets and society through education. We act as a worldwide clearinghouse for information about humane issues and work to promote the human/animal bond. We provide educational materials that promote organizational and personal learning. Our goal is to increase knowledge and understanding of animal issues so that communities can develop effective safety nets that protect animals from societal and institutional abuse.
The mission of the Center is to promote an optimal environment for humans and companion animals in our society. The human-animal bond is a mutually beneficial and dynamic relationship. It is strongly influenced by behaviors, either positive or negative that directly effect the health and well being of each other. Animal welfare or the humane care of animals is a societal responsibility. The Center serves as a public resource for education and data used to further positive interactions and progressive public policy development.
The Center is committed to expanding our knowledge of interactions between people, animals, and their environment. The Center is concerned with all aspects of human-animal interaction and welfare. The CAM center serves individuals as well as numerous private and public agencies including political bodies, humane societies, veterinarians, rescues, professional animal breeders and trainers, pet related industries, and animal welfare and rights organizations. The CAM center provides a neutral environment for these diverse interests, promotes respectful dialogue, provides research studies, offers educational classes and expert commentary for the expressed purpose of formulating enlightened public policy.
Pets have people problems. It is essential that people invest the time to learn and understand the true nature of these wonderful creatures. But when these relationships fail, (as a percentage most certainly will) it is vitally important that an effective community animal management system be in place to protect those animals and insure their welfare.
No one person or any one organization will end the problem of homeless and abused pets. It Takes A Community. There is common ground for all of us to work together to protect animal interests and insure a place in our society where animals are respected and valued. The combined efforts of animal professionals are needed to achieve this. We hope this website will help you be more effective and increase your efforts to help homeless and abused animals in your community.
