The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

The mission of Forgotten Angels (our mission) is simply: The safe and humane rescue of companion animals; Loving, caring and compassionate treatment of the animals in our charge; Adoption to homes where each animal will become a cherished part of the household.

Welcome to our newly redesigned website and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience the lack of a website has caused for our friends and supporters during this most difficult time.

At this time, the best we are able to do in order to get our angels back online is with this simple home page and some basic information. Please be patient with us and take a look at some of our available animals on Petfinder, Pets911 and 1-800-Save-A-Pet.

Initially set up in an attempt to change the method of "euthanasia" in the city of Gatesville, TX from carbon monoxide poisoning to the more humane method of lethal injection, which has been accomplished, we have focused our efforts on the rescue of those who have no voice and therefore have no choice.

We are a private, no-kill facility, a "mom & pop" operation, working from our residence to provide love, shelter and essential needs to those we rescue.

Inasmuch as we are a no-kill and although we have adopted out over 1100 cats and dogs since our inception in December of 2001, we have numerous animals who have been with us for 4 yrs or more who are in need of loving, stable, forever homes.

We receive no funding from the city, county, state or federal government. We are totally dependent upon the generosity of folks out there who care about their companion animals and are willing to help those whose care is entrusted to us. All donations go directly to the care of the animals...we do not receive salaries for the work we do...and can be mailed to: 502 S. 5th Street, Gatesville, TX 76528. Monetary donations can also be mailed direct to our primary veterinarian at: Coryell Veterinary Clinic, 1300 Hwy 36 Bypass North, Gatesville, TX 76528.

In the words of our friend and supporter, grammy-award winning singer/songwriter Paul Williams, ours is "a mission of the heart" and we would not have it any other way.
