The Floyd County Animal Rescue League (FCARL) has been working to protect the animals of New Albany, Indiana, since it was established 25 years ago. The support of its members and the community in Floyd County have made it possible for us to realize some great achievements. One of our biggest successes so far was the construction of the new shelter in New Albany.
One of our current goals is dramatically decreasing the number of adoptable animals who are authanized each year at the city shelter. We said from the beginning that we didn't want to build a better place for animals to die - our goal is to find a loving forever-home for every single adoptable animal who, through no fault of its own, ends up at the city shelter.
