The Dream Catcher Farm Horse Sanctuary is a Non-Profit Organization located on 36 acres in Rocky Mount, Virginia. The sanctuary was created to form an alternative to slaughter and abuse for old and neglected horses. It has a non-profit status under IRS rules 501(c)3 which allows donations to be tax deductable.

Over the years, the sanctuary has been supported by two individuals trying to make a difference. However, the financial burden of creating and maintaining an alternative to the slaughter of these animals has become overwhelming. Donations are needed to continue supporting the current residents and rescue additional horses in need of a home with tender loving care.

The sanctuary provides shelter and refuge for equine suffering from abuse, neglect and old age.

The sanctuary is currently operating at full capacity within the pasture that is fenced and barn space available. Money is always a pressing need for feed, shelter and welfare, especially during the winter when visitors are few and fundraising is difficult. With additional donations, the sanctuary can support the existing medical needs, obtain additional pasture land, and support more horses in need of rescue. The sanctuary is dependent upon contributions and donations to support the existing residents.
