The Domestic Cat Rescue Meetup Group's first meeting was held on Thursday, March 23, 2006.
I have been doing cat rescue in Wisconsin since 1993, and I felt it was important to form a meet up to help people find rescue cat and kittens to adopt, and try and answer any question they may have regarding helping a neighborhood cat they might be trying to rescue.
We get together on the fourth Thursday of the month in the Cat Rescue Room, and enjoy talking and cuddling with all of the rescued and stray cats. We have some informational speakers scheduled to give us information on nutrition, feline behavior, litter box issues and more. We also have a "snack to pass", so we can enjoy some munchies while kitty cuddling. See the pictures on the photo album of the first meeting! If you like cats and kittens, it's the place to be!!! Thank you for viewing our site and we hope you will join our meetup.
We had our second meetup on Thursday, April 27, 2006 and an amazing 25 people attended. We had a feline behavioral seminar with a question and answer session, and some great snacks and treats. Thank you everyone for attending, and we hope you will come to the next meeting and bring a friend.
