Welcome to The Dachshund Rescue Web Page. Jessica Young started this page several years ago, after adopting her wonderful Dachsie Dolly via the Internet. Due to Jessica's numerous responsibilities, Tiffany Kysar assumed ownership of The Dachshund Rescue Web Page in July 1997. On November 16, 1998, the site ownership was transferred once again, this time to myself, Benny Archuleta. Tiffany was no longer able to maintain the site herself, but did wish for it to continue on. She and I feel that the resource represented by this site is too valuable to allow to go by the wayside.
On February 29th, 2000, I incorporated The Dachshund Rescue Web Page. After many months of work, I have received recognition for The Dachshund Rescue Web Page, Inc., as a non-profit organization. It's now hoped that funding can be sought for the creation of a fully functional sanctuary and adoption center, as described in The Webmasters Dream . Obviously, this is going to take time to bring to reality, but small steps lead to successful journeys.
I would like to thank everyone who sends in information about Dachshunds needing homes, keeps me updated as to the status of listed dogs, and helps with transport and referrals.
All of the links and pages on this site should be available. If you find that this isn't the case, please let me know. Your comments or suggestions regarding this site are always welcome.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you will check back often.
