Companion Pet Rescue is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3)recognized, operated solely by volunteers, organization, rescuing abandoned dogs and cats throughout Oakland County. We receive no city, state or federal aid. We are supported by public donation only. All donation are tax-deductible. We are NON-KILL rescue group. Our mission is to find loving permanent homes for as many unwanted companion pets as possible by expending awareness of the health benefits of pet ownership. We are hoping to bring more people to our adoption sites by educating the public about how animals can help people to improve their health, independence and quality of life. It is scientifically proven that human-animal relationship helps us maintain good health by lowering blood pressure and by helping us cope with life's challenges such as loss, stress and loneliness. This is why our motto is "SAVE COMPANION PET TODAY IT MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE TOMMOROW" There are millions of unwanted companion animals euthanized each year in the United States so we take every opportunity to educate the public about the tragedy of pet overpopulation, the consequences of irresponsible pet ownership and about the importance of SPAYING & NEUTERING ALL PETS.
