The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector
Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.
The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give
To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.
The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy
At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them
Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Cause 4 Cats, Inc. was incorporated as a California non-profit in September 2004. While just an infant as an organized charity, Cause 4 Cats founders, Russ and Lolette Robrahn, have been dedicated to care and rescue of cats for over twenty years. Up until 2001, they maintained a sizeable cat family of 20-30 cats.
In 2001 Russ, a disabled vet, discovered a small feral cat family on the grounds of the Sepulveda VA hospital in North Hills. While feeding them one evening he met a lady who had been feeding at about a dozen different locations on the hospital campus for a decade. So arrangements were made to provide her assistance by splitting up the feeding schedule and also assist with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Release).
The Robrahn's cat family started to grow significantly once they started helping with the feral cats at the VA hospital. When kittens were trapped, they brought them home to tame them. Adding a litter of kittens at a time grew the family quickly to about 60 cats, with a number of the kittens growing up to be half-feral cats who were fine in the house but wanted nothing to do with people.
No longer able to keep the kittens as part of the family due to sheer numbers, the Robrahns reached out for help to other groups who were better prepared to do adoptions for kittens that were trapped and subsequently tamed. They were also feeling the pinch financially due to greater food costs and veterinary bills. So eventually they took the steps necessary to form Cause 4 Cats, Inc. to give greater assistance to stray and feral cats in their local community, as well as help pet owners spay and neuter their cats.
Russ is retired as a disabled veteran, but Lolette continues to work full-time, commuting 130 miles round trip a day to her job at Sexy Hair Concepts (professional hair care products) in Chatsworth, CA. There she coordinates the company's PR and advertising. Most of her salary goes into Cause 4 Cats to help pay vet bills, food and supplies. They have put out many appeals to the community for help, but the area does not have a large population, consequently financial and volunteer support has not yet materialized. The Robrahns are collecting donated items and holding monthly yard sales at the present to bring in additional monies for the cats, but those do take a great deal of time and work - which takes away time from the maintenance of the cats and the facilities.
