The Calhoun County Pound is dedicated to finding good, forever homes for the abandoned and homeless animals of Calhoun County. If you can provide such a home for one of the animals listed below, please contact us for more information. Applicants will be screened and are responsible for having their pet spayed or neutered. All dogs receive distemper/parvo and rabies shots after the 10 day waiting period. We have recently entered into a partnership with the North Central Correctional Facility to help dogs receive basic training and increase their chances of a successful adoption. We have several dogs in the program. Look for the dogs progress below! We will take applications for them while in training.
