CARMA (Companion Animal Rescue and Medical Assistance) is a no-kill, all volunteer animal rescue group based in Sandoval County.
The principal focus of CARMA is to rescue dogs and cats on "death row" (those that are about to be euthanized). CARMA works with Corrales and Rio Rancho Animal Control in an effort to reduce the number of homeless animals destroyed in these communities. CARMA also takes at-risk animals from surrounding areas.
Like all such organizations, we rely on donations of money and time from volunteers in order to further the goals of the organization. We desperately need foster homes and financial support. We also appreciate donations of good quality dog and cat food, wire cages, and many other items.
