Our Mission Brooklyn Animal Shelter, Inc. exists for the following purposes 1. To provide a safe, clean, comfortable environment for lost, abandoned and stray animals however long that may take as we are a no-time limit shelter. 2. To provide the necessary medical care for these animals, including spayneuter, diagnostic tests, preventative vaccinations and necessary medical treatments. 3. To reunite owners and lost pets 4. To find forever homes for our homeless animals 5. To encourage responsible pet ownership by educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering to control animal overpopulation 6. To educate the public on the proper care of companion animals. Shelter Profile We are an all volunteer group headed by a board of trustees 9 and serve the community of Brooklyn, Ohio. Brooklyn is an inner ring suburb of Cleveland, Ohio We provide a safe comfortable home for as long as it takes to find good homes for our dogs and cats. We love to spoil are guests and we are always looking for more volunteers so we can spend more time with them. Many of our cats live in colonies and our dog kennels are only half finished. We provide our guests with vaccinations, disease testing and they are fixed before adoption. Our shelter is a large house at 8300 Memphis Avenue in Brooklyn, Ohio.
