# All dogs and cats over the age of three months must be licensed annually and display a license tag at all times. Proof of a current rabies vaccination is required to obtain a license. A dog or cat license can be purchased at City Hall or by mail.

The cities of Richfield and Eden Prairie and the Metropolitan Airport Commission (MAC) have contracted with Bloomington to provide animal sheltering services. Animals from these entities are impounded and held at the Bloomington Animal Shelter in accordance with state law and existing contracts.
