Okay, folks... it's crunch time! We NEED a new animal shelter and will soon have to move from our present location. Our lease on our current location will expire December 31, 2006. To help with this endeavor we continue to raise funds through various events and activities, but we really need monetary donations to the building fund ASAP! Many people are visiting northern Michigan for outdoor activities. We believe some lose their pets, but don't know to come to the shelter to find them. Many of our newest arrivals are very nice dogs that have obviously been well cared for by loving owners. If you or anyone you know has visited or passed through the Grayling area and lost a pet, the shelter wants to hear from you! Let us know about your lost pet and be sure to check our Pet List to see if your dog or cat is posted there. He or she just may be waiting for you at our shelter right now! We love to find new adoptive homes for the dogs and cats, but we would really like some reunions, too... for the PET'S SAKE! There are several animals on our Pet List available for adoption, many of which have been altered, a few are waiting to be spayed or neutered, and most of them are completely up to date on their shots. They are all wonderful characters! Be sure to take a look at all of them !
Also, be sure to check out the photos and bios of many of our pets on the Very Best Pet Network board at the Wal-Mart store in Gaylord, MI, in partnership with Purina Brand Pet Foods. The board is updated at least monthly. Make sure you mention to our shelter staff that you saw the pet you're interested in on the Very Best Pet Network board.
