The Animal Rescue Team is an all-volunteer rescue organization centered in Lyndhurst, NJ. We rescue adoptable animals from overcrowded local shelters and take in adoptable strays from the streets. We do not have a physical shelter with established hours; the rescued animals are kept at volunteer foster homes until they find their "forever" homes. This is much less stressful for the animals, because they can become part of a family rather than being isolated in a crate. This helps the animals transition into permanent homes more easily. It also helps us to evaluate each animal's personality in a home environment so that we can place him/her in the best forever home possible.
