The Broome County Animal Care Council (ACC), Inc. was created in 1978; since 1993 our emphasis has been on spaying/neutering assistance and animal rescue. Thanks to our wonderful location and our exceptional volunteers, we now place an average of 40 cats and kittens each month. We rely on shelter boarding and many dedicated foster care providers to accommodate the cats and dogs we take in from rescues.
ACC is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization solely funded by donations and fundraising events. ACC's spay/neuter program includes a reduced cost spay/neuter initiative for households with qualifying income, and education and financial assistance for unusual cases.
