about aw who are we? Angelâ??s Wish is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 charitable organization founded in 2000. mission statement Angelâ??s Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin. the animals we help In 2014, we took in 417 cats, 10 dogs and 1 bird from nearly 20 different counties in Wisconsin (and a few from other states). The top three counties we took in animals from were Dane (204 animals), Rock (52), and Iowa (50). In 2014, we adopted out 434 cats, 8 dogs, and 1 bird. In the last five years, we have helped over 2,600 animals find their new homes. We started 2015 with 104 cats and 2 dogs in our care. why are we called angelâ??s wish? Lois Lawrence, a founding member of Angelâ??s Wish, once rescued a kitten from a construction site. Weak with starvation, dehydration, and a severe upper respiratory infection, neither veterinary treatment nor Loisâ?? love and care could save the kitten from the effects of that hot June day. Angel died that night in Loisâ?? arms. We believe that Angelâ??s wish would have been that no other animal be subjected to pain, suffering, abandonment or neglect.
