In August 2001, Michelle Sudan, received a call at the vet clinic where she works. A young colt had been wire cut and the owner wanted him put down. Michelle went to see the colt, and believed she could save him. The owner did not want to spend the time or the money to treat him, so he told Michelle, "It is a carcass as far as I am concerned. Take him away." Michelle called her husband Norm, and her sister, Lynnette Longtin, to help with Tuff. The three of them spent many
hours treating and nursing Tuff back to health. Tuff is now healthy and you can not even tell he'd ever been injured. He is a tribute to his name and to our devotion to these animals.
