Dog Bites Dog Bites
If I am bitten how should I care for a dog bite?
* Always wash the dog bite with soap and warm water, try to get any dirt, saliva, or any other particles washed out of your wound.
* Apply pressure with a clean cloth or towel to the dog bite to stop any bleeding, if the bleeding does not stop within 15 minutes you should proceed to a doctors office or emergency room.

Pets in Ohio : Dog : Border Collie : Allie
Allie
THIRD UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM Allie is just in love with life! She is spontaneous, fun-loving and gets along with everyone. She has completed her heartworm treatment and is doing just beautifully. She needs her forever home! We originally felt that Allie and Kate should be adopted together however, that is no longer the case. Allie is so easy and fun-loving. She gets along with everyone!
SECOND UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM Allie was heartworm positive....very unusual for such a young dog. Her mother Kate was also. Allie and Kate are both being treated for heartworm and will recover fully! Their treatment and rest time will be concluded by the end of June, 2008.
UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM Allie is a darling 10 to 12 month Border colliechow chow mix. There will be better pictures to follow. This is a really wonderful pup! She is so smart! She has figured out the dog door and is getting the hang of housebreaking. She is great with my 5 other dogs, with cats, and with all people. She is so happy and in love with life. Allie and Kate were last second saves from a rural shelter who was going to euthanize them because of their chow heritage. Although chows are wonderful dogs, I don't see a lot of chow in Allie except for her body type. She looks like a 5 month old newfie pup although she will not even be remotely the size of a newfie. She is full grown.
Allie's adoption fee is $225, which includes all vetting spayneuter, all vaccinations including rabies, heartworm test started on prevention, started on fleatick prevention and a leash collar. If you are interested, please visit our website, www.stopthesuffering.org, to complete an adoption application.
