Ms Daffodil definitely fits her name. She’s such a sweet girl that loves being around people. She’s very friendly, gives the most gentle kisses, and the best snuggles. Daffodil is quickly catching onto basic house training and potty training. She is very food motivated so training is quite enjoyable for her!
Walking on a leash is still pretty new to Daffodil. She will walk a small distance, and then just sit down once she decides she’s had enough. I’m more than positive that with the warmer weather, she will love the outdoors.
Daffodil is kid and dog friendly. However, she does tend to guard her food and toys from other dogs. She lives with another foster puppy, and we feed them separately. She will growl at him if he comes by her food bowl, with or without food in it so we just take her bowl away when feeding is done and she’s just fine afterwards. She also gets snippy if she’s chewing on a toy or bone and he comes to try to play with her. No aggression towards us when we grab her things, but she will definitely need an assertive leader to continue to help her work on this.
Other than this small issue, Daffodil is so so sweet and easy going. She takes direction very well and is eager to please! She’s an absolute princess and takes great baths and enjoys being groomed. She also has no issues hanging out in her crate while we are out of the house, and also sleeps all through the night in there.
Daffodil can’t wait to make Minnesota her forever home!
