UPDATE 2/14/18:
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! Sweet Doyle came to us from Animal Control on 2/7/18. He appears to be a Redtick/Redbone Hound (mix) who is about 5 years old and weighs 58.80 pounds.
Dog therapist Jodie spent time with Doyle on Sunday and wrote the following: “Doyle is a doll. He has a “sugar face” and is very sweet and polite. He likes attention and is very good on a leash. He is a gentle boy when you hang out with him in his room too. He puts his head in your hands for love.”
Fonda said the “Everyone at the vet fell in love with him. He is a true southern gentleman.”
We can only imagine what Doyle has been through in his 5 years of life but we do know one thing for sure. His life just got a lot better for him. From here on out, he will live and thrive as a beloved family member—we have promised him THAT! He is:
- good on leash
- good with dogs
- respectful of cats
If the person who is lucky enough to adopt Doyle has never known and fallen in love with a hound dog before, they will quickly learn that “house hounds” can be the best house dogs ever! They are appreciative and loving—sensitive, gentle souls who really enjoy lounging around inside a safe and loving home with their family members…just like any other breed does.
He seems good with other dogs and he even tested very respectful of cats yesterday.
