Adopt a Beagle / Hound / Mixed

Beagle / Hound / Mixed Dog

Whiskey the Beagle D3956 the Dog needs a home

Hello everyone!   I cannot tell you how excited I am to be in a home and with a name.  You see, my story, like so many other rescues, didn’t start out the best.  But let's not talk about the past but the future!     I am what you might label as a good old Heinz 57 dog.   My breed you may ask?  Well certainly not one of those fluffy designer ones but that doesn’t matter.  They have me labeled as a beagle / hound but well I don't howl, I have no idea what a scent trail is and really, just looking for a posh lap to lay in while I give kisses.   I am willing to be your best friend.   I am a medium hound  right (26 lbs) now and they say I am 2 years old.    When I came to my foster home I was quite shy and timid but am learning that a house is the best place to be.   My mom says I am really starting to come out of my shell.

My perfect home you may ask?  One that will provide me love, a nice couch to lay on, and well just a final place to call homes.  I would love it if the family would be committed to taking me to training as well when I feel more comfortable, I never have had that.  I am trying really hard to listen to everything and do everything my mom asks.   I am a quick learner so I am thinking potentially a first place ribbon for training is in my future.   I am now fully crate trained and appear to be house broken as long as you let me go potty often.   I love children that will be kind to me and show me how to be comfortable.   I live with a 7 and 15 year old and love when I get to lay on their lap and give me some love.    Other dogs?   Love them and like to follow their guidance.   Cats?  Not sure as I don't live with one but can be tested if someone applies for me.  The snow?   The best thing ever to romp around in.   Walks?  My mom says I get an A+ because I walk right now like a gem.

My mom says sometimes I bark in the kennel when she leaves during the day.  I am just trying to tell her I love her but if you have shared walls we would need to discuss.

So if you think you and I might be a good match and you have a soft lap for me to rest my pretty head on, let’s meet!   If you promise to give me the love, attention and training I need, I promise to be your faithful companion and grant you with kisses.
