RESCUING LACEY

Lacey, formerly known as Clara, was picked up by Paulding County Animal Control after being dumped at a trailer park when her owners moved away. Lacey and her kitty friend were fending for themselves for months. Poor Lacey was hairles and super itchy and stinky due to a nasty case of demodex mange and underlying skin infection.

ABOUT LACEY

Lacey lives in foster care with another female pittie, 5 cats, a hedgehog, and a sugar glider. Lacey loves meeting new people and pets as making new friends in her specialty! She is crate-trained and housebroken. She is an excellent leash walker although she will pull if she sees a squirrel she wants to chase or people she needs to greet. She is strong so a good grip is required. Lacey is playful, although she has not quite grasped the concept of returning the ball during fetch. Most of all, Lacey adores being touched and snuggled. She is very food motivated and has already learned sit, wait, and down. She does what her foster-mom calls a Dinner-Dance while waiting for her meals. This girl is a total love-bug and she cannot wait to shower a forever family with her unconditional love and affection!

Lacey has been treated for mange, but her skin remains a little funky and her hair has not come back as much as we would like so she is off to see the dermatologist to see if there is another underlying issue. Once her skin is under control, Lacey will be spayed and become available for adoption.

Our adoption fee is $250. All dogs are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, micro-chipped, on heartworm prevention, and are fed top of the line grain-free food.
