Adopt a Beagle (short coat)
Russell (Rusty) the Dog needs a home
All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vetted. Senior dogs receive extra bloodwork and we try to do dental cleanings on any dogs that need them. Most of the dogs in our care are crate-trained and cat tested. We test with kids when we can. Our process can seem involved and long - we appreciate your patience. Adopting a dog is not like buying a candy bar in the checkout lane; it should never be a last-minute decision or one that is not fully thought out.
Russell (goes by Rusty) was rescued from DeKalb County Animal Services on January 23, 2018. Rusty is a very happy boy who is housebroken and crate-trained. He is 13 years old and gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home. Rusty, however, is not a big fan of cats and would do best in a feline-free home. He can be quite vocal at times, so shared walls are not ideal for this joyous boy. Might your home be the fit for 13-year-young Rusty? Rusty should be ready for adoption in early March!
