Gibson - ON MEDICAL LEAVE the Dog needs a home

Gibson came to us very sick. She was first "bought" by a young lady that found her with a collar imbedded into her neck and very, very sick and skinny.  This young lady soon realized that she needed alot of medical care that she could not afford to pay for and needed help with so much more medical attention than what she could have given her.  She reached out to us and we gladly told her we would help Gibson.

Upon going to two different vets in one week, Gibson was suffering from severe skin/hair loss due to chronic allergies that were left untreated for a very long time.  Her mammaries were very enlarged and possible very infected.  So the vet recommended we spay her right away.  It was apparent she had a few litters of puppies before.  Her ears were infected, she had a very bad, rather large, infected cyst located on the top of her ear.  And she was very skinny, being able to see so many ribs on her stomach.  Thankfully, she was heartworm negative.  You could just see the sadness in her eyes and her body language.  She simply is not feeling good.  But we have put her on antibiotics, Apoquel for her skin, and she is being given medicated baths every week.  Plus we have her on a very good quality dog food.

Gibson will NOT be available for adoption at least until March at the earliest.  We will post updates on her as she continues to get better.
