Aster – Courtesy Post - What an autobiography this little lady cat could write and keep you spell bound with her great adventure. We would have to start with when she landed at the Euless shelter with a tipped ear, which we all assumed meant she was a candidate for barn cats. Since she was already fixed all she needed was vaccinations. How easy, we can do that! Well, vet comes over and smells her breath and says, ummm, not quite right. So I step out for a second, come back into the room and vet has cat in lap looking inside her mouth. Cat is purring and kneading her leg. Well, not feral, in fact just the opposite, over the top sweet. This must mean her previous life was being loved by a family because she is a snuggler, especially in bed. She is completely comfortable in the houseand really likes the dogs. She even tries to rub against them. She loves love. Vet put her age between 2-4 and she still plays like a young cat. She loves little toys she can bat around and has a burst of running energy a few times a day. We were not aware of a name so vet said Aster and we think it fits purrfectly.
Well, Aster used to have stomatitis but had all her back teeth pulled and is on the road to be being healthy once again. In fact she has gained close to 2 pounds! She is normal in every cat way. She eats dry food best, likes to lick the gravy from wet food and uses the litter box 100% of the time. She is friendly to all my other foster cats but some not so nice to her. She especially likes the little kittens to play with. Now if she could just fill in the blanks, we would know how she ended up outside and why. I am sure it is a lame excuse and we are all pulling for a forever home this time as she has many great years ahead.
