Adopt a Miniature Pinscher / Mixed (short coat)

UPDATE 2/13/18: 

Creole just arrived.  He is a handsome 2½ year old miniature pinscher mix that weighs 16.2 precious pounds.  He's wears a stunning red coat and has the cutest, most expressive ears!   He is super happy and very smart and active.  When left alone, bored, and wanting attention from people he sees nearby, he can climb all the way up a kennel fence and get really high.  When he was at Animal Control his nick name was “Spider Man.”  He has many excellent traits:

He absolutely loves running fast out in our yard and when we are with him he doesn’t even try to climb the fence.  He plays ball like a real champ.  He is very good at catching and bringing the ball back to us and dropping it at our feet.  As he runs and plays, he checks in with us often too—that is a very good thing.

Creole absolutely LOVES being with people and snuggling up very close to them.  In these photos he is with one of our shelter friends and previous adopter, AJ.  As you can see, he is truly charmed by her.  He loves her caresses, sitting on her lap, and resting his precious head on her knee as he waits patiently for his next small treat.  Creole accepts treats with a very gentle mouth too.

He is a polite and nice manageable little size, and very good on a leash.  

He is very clean in his room and may have even been house trained in a previous home. 

He doesn’t mind being in a crate—but he should not have to live his entire life in one.

He doesn’t tear up the soft blankets and toys in his room either—he respects his things.

He seems okay with most other dogs too.

If you are looking for an active best buddy to hang around with, please come and meet Creole.  He would love for you to adopt him if you are willing to allow him to play an active role in your life…and then have a little down time on your lap.
