Sweet Pea the Dog needs a home
Sweet Pea is a 3 yr old spayed, female Boxer mix who lives up to her name - a very sweet dog. She is house-broken, crate-trained, and gets along with like sized dogs as well as cats and children. Sweet Pea is diabetic and currently needs two insulin injections per day. She is blind due to her diabetes going untreated while she was a stray. Sweet Pea came to RAD Rescue very underweight, but has quickly gained back the weight needed and is now at her ideal weight - just under 40 pounds.
She enjoys going for car rides and walks very well on a leash. Although Sweet Pea does well with other dogs, she would not argue about being an only dog, but one or two playmates would also be great. She will bark at strange sounds to alert you, but will stop barking on request. Sweet Pea learns very quickly but in any new environment, she would need time to adjust to her new home and learn where steps and trees are located. Overall, she does really well after she has had time to learn her areas.
