Adopt a Maine Coon / Mixed (long coat)
An Litter - Lucas the Cat needs a home
Hi there! My name is Lucas and I am a super sweet boy. I was adopted out from The Kitten Nursery when I was an 8 week old kitten with my brother, Lachie. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, I got a urinary tract blockage that almost killed me as I didn't receive vet care quick enough. The decision was made by my previous owners to surrender us back to The Kitten Nursery so that I could get the care I needed and we could fine new homes... so now that I am healthy again, we are back looking for a forever home!
Lachie and I have been together since birth and we are brothers so we have to be adopted together. Our adoption fee is $100 for the pair of us. And get this, we are both FULLY VETTED.
I am a Maine Coon kitty so I am a big boy because of my breed. I have a lot of Maine Coon traits... I act more like a dog than a cat. I really love people, I love everyone. I just want attention and belly rubs. Lachie and I will constantly roll over to have our bellies rubbed like dogs. We also really like water. We will follow you everywhere, we will even get in the shower with you if you let us. We are really silly boys.
I really love my cat towers. You can often find me inside the tower just resting up. We would love to have some towers in our new home so we can look out the windows to watch birds!
I use my litter box without any issues, I also use my scratching posts.
I am good with all other animals. I love the foster kittens in my foster home, I am constantly playing with them. I am good with dogs as well. Also, I came from a home with really young kids and am great with children as well.
Because I had a urinary tract blockage, I need to remain on a prescription food for the remainder of my life. Please only consider applying to adopt me if you can afford the potential vet bills if I block again. The rescue is more than happy to talk to you about these potential costs. If I remain on my prescription diet, we are hopeful this will not occur again. Bottled water (because of the lower amounts of magnesium may also be beneficial for me).
PLEASE NOTE, we are in foster in Bloomfield Hills as our previous foster moved and she is the one who took us back.
Love,
Lucas
