The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pet Tips

Burglar proofing your pet

It is a fact that pets get lost more than they get stolen, but pet theft is quickly becoming more and more of a problem with pet owners. It pays to take a few simple and inexpensive precautions that may help prevent a tragedy. Some simple things such as tattooing all of your animals, and micro-chipping is an excellent and very effective form of pet identification. Always remember to keep every gate on your property locked and you may even consider some fake security cameras, which are almost guaranteed to deter a thief. There is always the favorite sign, and if it is created professionally and with the right words it can be very effective. Make a sign and put the following text on it. "All animals on this property are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and this property is under constant video surveillance". You might be amazed at what an effective deterrent this is. If you live in the country, even a locked chain across the driveway can be a good deterrent.

When you are taking your dogs off the lead on your property remember to have the dog wear one collar with identification, and a second collar attached to a lead. You would be amazed at how easily dogs can slip a collar off, or have broken a latch that the owner left holding the lead and a broken collar with the dog's vital details attached.

Remember to provide your neighbors and family members with your pet's numbers and descriptions, and how they can contact you in case of an emergency. It is a great idea to compile all of the pet related numbers and have them readily available in case of an emergency. One day you will be glad you did. Write down and keep handy your local animal shelter's contact information, the local animal control service, emergency vet care services, and any other Rescue or Fire department information. Taking a few simple steps to protect your pet will give you both peace of mind.
