The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pet Tips

Buying Pet Medicine Online

The vast availability of medications online has placed an added pressure on society to moderate its own behavior responsibly. It has placed an even greater pressure on human beings who use the Internet to shop for pets who are entirely reliant on us for their wellbeing.

Buying pet medicine online offers a level of freedom that is enough to cause anyone slight confusion. In the old days (just a year ago) we would take our pet to his or her veterinarian who would provide a thorough checkup and counsel us on the right way to deal with our pet's health issues. This was a great relief in two ways: we were guided by an expert and we could easily shift a portion of the responsibility. Today it is possible to go online, self diagnose and medicate your own pet.

This is great on one hand, and poses a very serious danger on the other. With the aid of the Internet we are now empowered to act independently of traditional channels. This is a qualified bonus only if we are aware of the fact that we do not have years of veterinary experience and schooling behind us. This awareness should make us doubly cautious as we navigate these unfamiliar waters with our newfound freedom.

The bonus is a qualified one, it should not take the place of veterinary expertise when that is appropriate. The question of how to discern when that is appropriate is the million-dollar question. Websites often play experts and are often knowledgeable but it is not necessarily the expertise we need, it’s the experience.

A popular tactic most sites use is to fill the website with white clad 'experts' who profess to a proficiency they don’t always have. It is important to note that most are often just models paid to pose in a white lab coat. We need something more than a show of proficiency when it comes to the lives and health of our pets.

The bottom line is this; nothing can take the place of a visit to your veterinarian when your animal is sick. Attempting to diagnose your pet's ailment yourself can lead to devastating consequences including death. When time is of the essence, wasting it waiting for cost effective, online medicines to be shipped to your door is not only unwise but inhumane.

Buying pet medication on the internet has a limited application. Within these boundaries it can be both benign and is usually cost effective. This avenue tends to work best with repeat medications such as flea, tick, worming and heart medications. If you are considering taking advantage of the online option it is wise to let your vet know. He or she will have to write a prescription for you to use when purchasing online. Many services will also offer to call your vet directly.

Avoid and or be cautious regarding prices that are far below market on pet medications. Most legitimate companies will hover in the same discount region. Outrageous savings are normally only offered by fly by night companies who often offer questionable product.
