The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Siamese Cats and Siamese Cat Names

There are many possible Siamese cat names that go perfectly with the grace of these felines. This cat breed is among the most appreciated ones in the world. Siamese cats are very beautiful, loving and present distinctive features that make them perfect for pet beauty competitions. In fact, they have their own show that has been organized for many decades now.

No matter if it is Topper, Forester, Heathcliff, Merlin, Holly or Molly how you call your cat, there are three major Siamese cat names to refer to this breed: Traditional Siamese / Classic Siamese, Oriental Style Siamese and Appleheads. These four Siamese cat names stand for the differences in the physical characteristics of the cats belonging to this breed. Siamese owners managed to change the way these cats look like so that they can compete in beauty shows.

Here are some of the most important features of the Siamese belonging to the main categories:
- The Traditional Siamese. This type is also called the Thai, referring to the country of origin - Thailand. Cats belonging to this category have an elongated body with medium boning and long legs. The cheeks are rounded and the muzzle is wedge-shaped. Some say its face resembles that of the Martians. The ears are moderately large and they are placed higher than in the case of the other groups.
- The Modern Siamese or the Appleheads. The name comes from the shape of the head that is triangular and very well defined. The body is muscular, slim and flexible. The Applehead Siamese walks elegantly and looks very stylish, which is why it is preferred by many for competitions. The ears are positioned towards the sides of the head, and the eyes are almond shaped. The fur is short and looks like it is painted on. It is very fine and soft and has no undercoat.
- The Oriental Style. This is characterized by the extremely large almond shaped eyes while the shape of the body is similar to that of the Modern breed.

For some people, it is quite difficult to distinguish between the above Siamese cat names. In spite of the differences between these categories, they have many features in common. One of them refers to the fur, which has the typical point color range.

Even though most kittens are light colored or even completely white when they are born, some parts of the fur darken in just a few weeks. The color of the coat is a good trick to find out how old the Siamese is. Specialists say that the fur is getting darker with age. However, this depends also on the environment where they live and the specific temperatures.

Overall, these cats are really special ones, and if you get the chance to adopt one, you won’t regret it. In the end it doesn’t matter what the Siamese cat names are and to what category yours belongs to, as long as you are welcoming a warm soul into your home.
