The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pet Tips

Many Kinds of Cats

There are so many wonderful kinds of cats that it is sometimes difficult to make up your mind when deciding to adopt a pet.

Caring for a pet is a great responsibility, but one that brings with it great comfort and happiness. Before adopting a cat, you first need to understand its temperament and see if it matches your lifestyle.

If you are in search for a cat, you should take into consideration the variety of breeds and their specific traits. The internet may help you in this mission. There are many websites that describe cat breeds and even suggest types of cats according to the owner’s personality. But you will find so many kinds of cats described online, that you may feel overwhelmed at first. However, choosing the perfect one for you is not really as hard as it seems. You just need to think things over a little.

Firstly, ask yourself what kinds of cats do you like most? Do you prefer a docile, loving, always cuddling cat? Or are you more attracted by some cats' defiance and sense of superiority towards humans? Would you like a quiet, lazy pet or the adventurous one that never stops from playing (and possibly devastating your house)?

There are many breeds of cats and each one has its own particularities. The Cat Fanciers Association recognizes forty-one different cat breeds. According to statistics, the most popular breeds of cats are: Nebelung, Birman, Persian, Turkish Angora, Siamese, Russian Blue and Norvegian Forest.

Let's see some of their basic characteristics.
- Nebelung cats are very devoted and affective towards their owners, but shy with strangers, especially with young children. They may need a little bit more time to adapt to a new home.
- Birman cats are gentle, sociable and ready to play anytime, although sometimes you will not feel their presence, because there are quiet companions.
- Persians can be fit for any home, once they feel that they are in a safe environment. Due to their personality, these cats are great companions for people of all ages.
- Turkish Angoras are one of the most intelligent breeds of cats. They are devoted pets, very active and they love playing.
- The Siamese - these kinds of cats are very communicative, intelligent and emotional. They love cuddling in your lap and getting all the attention.
- Russian Blue cats are quiet, but also playful companions. They are shy among stranger but very affectionate with their owner, and they get along with children very well.
- Norvegian Forest cats have different personalities depending on the environment they grew up in. They are usually very friendly and talkative, but may be also shy especially when raised with other pets around.

As you can see, personalities can differ within the same breed, because cats are very adaptable and they react differently even if they are raised in the same environment and in the same conditions. So, when choosing your pet out of many kinds of cats, you should first get to meet it, to make sure it fits your personality.
