The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Dog Shirts Fashionable Fun and Practical

What started out as a functional trend, later developed into a trend fever and dog shirts today, apart from keeping pets warm, can also be the means for owners to make a fashion or a political statement. They come in various styles and all sizes, with an obvious domination of the toy dog size. The imprinted messages or graphic designs give a hint about and draw the attention to the owner’s sense of humor, Ars Vitae, taste in fashion or even gastronomy.

Functionality
Short haired dogs are often affected by cold weather and dog shirts are ideal garments in weather that is not cold enough to require a sweater, but chilly enough to make your dog shiver. Shirts also protect from UV radiation and sunburns. For dogs faced with allergies, a T-shirt is a practical shield against over-scratching. With a dog T-shirt, even rainy weather becomes friendlier, as you will no longer have to worry about having your dog’s belly all muddy after a good run or play time. Not to mention the fact that a T-shirt worn indoors means less shedding.

With all these advantages, it is good to note that not all dogs tolerate well the constrictive nature of dog clothing. If your dog shows signs of irritation and impatience after being all dressed up, it is best to take off the garment, for a while at least, and try again later, until your pet gets used to it.

Fashion
Starting with the most practical and modest models and ending with the high-end fashion creations, dog shirts are available in all styles and for all pockets. Dog fashion designers impress with innovative creations and it is not rare that celebrities give their name to dog fashion lines.

Round neck, jewel neck, V-neck, turtleneck and hooded shirts are only some of the most popular styles in shirts for dogs. You can find short sleeved and long sleeved versions, but sleeveless shirts like tank tops and sports jerseys are also among the favorites. Fancy shirts are in vogue and they present an entire arsenal of fur or feather trims, buttons, pompoms, sequins and other interesting ornaments.

Fun
Dog shirts that display the colors of the owner’s favorite team or a funny saying are good eye-catchers. Costumes for different events are a good source of fun (mostly for the owner however). These are usually decorated shirts. Although dressing up your pet can be a whole lot of fun, you should never forget that the well-being and the comfort of the dog is priority number one. A good costume does not create incommodity or anxiety to the dog.

After you have already purchased a few shirts for your dog, you might realize that they are not really difficult to create. Old skirts or baby clothing can be easily turned into practical and attractive garment for your pet. Make sure to take careful measurements for a proper fit, if possible use natural materials and do not forget functionality. Let your imagination lead and create your own dog shirts!
