The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pet Tips

Always Transport Your Dog Safely Using Dog Crates!

Basically, dog crates are enclosures with doors, usually made out of metal, solid plastic, fabric or wire, and used for dogs' transportation or for security purposes.

These crates can be used when you need to take your animal companion to exhibitions, veterinary hospitals, beauty shops, or various other possible occasions. If your dog does not want to accept the crate as a safe and familiar place, for better and faster results crate training is a must.

There are many types of dog crates, built using various types of materials. All of them are built to ensure the comfort and integrity of your pet, even on long distance runs, for a long period of time. The crates are easy to carry in the car trunk, making sure the dog has enough air to breathe.

While the advantages of dog crates are obvious, there is one big disadvantage. They cannot be folded, so they can occupy a lot of space.

Even when you're not traveling, such cages might be very useful inside the house, especially when you have an over-excited puppy. Would you rather let it terrorize the furniture, your kids or especially the cat? Absolutely not! And you do not have to feel bad for sending the puppy to its crate. It is just like with a child that has made a mistake and you send him to his room: he can feel you are upset with him, but also feels comfortable in his room, and, the next time, he might not do the same mistake again.

Dog crates are key items for you and for your canine companions, especially when it comes to travel safety. If, god forbid, you have an accident while you are in the car with your dog, if the dog is in his crate, the metal enclosure provides the necessary protection your pet needs.

A dog crate can be a life saver in many cases, but it will not be able to be of any help if the owner does not act responsibly. Never leave your dog in his crate inside a hot car, even if the windows are cracked. There is a strong possibility that, in a matter of minutes, your dog may suffer from a heat stroke, which can sometimes be fatal or leave permanent marks on its health.

When buying a dog crate, you must make sure select the right size for your dog. Measure it before you buy it and make sure it is a few inches higher than your dog's height. By going that, you can rest assured it has enough room in there and does not feel suffocated.

Do not hurry and take all the time you need to analyze different dog crates before you decide on one. The crate is very important for your pet's safety, as well as yours, so your dog has to feel as comfortable as possible in it in order to avoid any issues.
