Pet Tips
Preparing your home
There is a host of potential dangers and attractions for a new dog inside your home. Remove everything from the floors, while you go through your house room by room. There should be nothing but furniture on your floors. Pillows, toys, shoes, and video games should be put out of reach. Remember, it’s your fault if your puppy or untrained dog chews anything. If it is left out, he will think it is fair game. Chances are he will continue to do it as an adult if he is allowed to chew your things as a puppy. Don’t risk the wellbeing of your dog or of your property by establishing bad habits. A dog should not have access to any of your things and should never be allowed to have free run of the house until you start training him.
