The medium-size drop ears are rounded and can be cropped erect or left natural, they are carried higher when the dog is alert. The long, bushy tail curls and the feet are large. There is a double coat with a short dense outer coat that ranges in color from gray to dun, with a black mask and ears. There may be white on the feet, chest and tail.
