The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Three Steps For A Healthier Dog

As pet owners, we all just want what is best for our pet. Sometimes because of our hectic schedule, we put our dog’s care at the bottom of the list or it just becomes a chore we perform every day without giving it any thought. We stumble out of our bed in the morning, let the dog out to go potty, fill his water bowl, toss some food in the dish and go on with our daily routine. Let’s face it this can get very boring for you and even more so for your dog.

In order to maintain your dog’s health there are three simple steps you will need to follow:

1. A good diet
2. Plenty of fresh water
3. Exercise .

A good diet is essential to your dog’s health in mush the same way a good diet is essential to your good health. Be careful what you buy! Always read the ingredients label not just the brand name of the dog food. An all natural dog food is what you should be looking for, try not to buy one that contains filler and by-products. Remember the saying “you get what you pay for”, because it is especially true here. Although an all natural dog food may be a little more expensive, studies have shown that your dog will in almost all cases eat more of the “bargain brand” than the all natural, nutritious dog food. The “bargain brands” will pass through your dog more quickly because they do not contain as much of the daily nutrients your dog requires. This leads to your dog being hungrier more often which will cause him to eat more. Your dog will retain more of the nutrients contained in the all natural food which means they will be less hungry, have healthier, shinier coats, more energy and better overall health.

Give your dog plenty of fresh water. Change his water as often as you can. A good rule to follow is that every time you get yourself a drink, add new water to your dog’s bowl, he will enjoy it and be forever grateful.

Exercise your dog daily. This is also good for you. Take him on long walks, throw a ball or stick around the backyard or local park. Remember your dog’s cardiovascular system, heart and muscles need exercise just like yours do.
