The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pet Tips

Affenpinscher - The Monkey Dog

The Affenpinscher is a petite 7 to 8 pound dog that normally will not exceed 10 inches in height. The Affenpinscher has very bushy eyebrows and a shaggy coat and is considered by most to somewhat resemble a monkey. Although this breed is a dog in any definition, many still say it could be a monkey by the way that it acts.

Affenpinscher's are similar in looks to terriers but they're actually part of the pinscher-schnauzer subgroup. The most common color of an Affenpinscher is black, although the AKC permits other colors such as gray, silver, and a combination of black and tan but Black is always preferred.

The best characteristics of Affenpinschers are that they are very playful and likely to get along with other dogs. They can become excitable around small children so they're not entirely suited as a family pet. Affenpinschers can be territorial when it comes to their food so you might want to take this into consideration prior to adopting one. That being said an Affenpinscher certainly can be a fun pet to own and can provide hours of entertainment for everyone.

The breed can date itself back to the early 17th century and the European origin of its name is a combination between the German word for monkey and terrier. The breed was originally a little bit larger than it is now standing about 12 to 13 inches in height with similar colors. Its original purpose was as a router working very hard to remove rats and other rodents from places such as kitchens and stables.
