The Aryan Molossus
Once a Warrior, Today a Loyal Companion and a Family-Protector

Should you ever decide that you need a big dog, with an imposing posture, which can look threatening and majestic at the same time, the Aryan Molossus is definitely one breed that you must take into consideration.

The Armant
The Egyptian Dog with a Lot of Love to Give

To some of you, the Armant is better known as the “Egyptian Sheepdog” and, just as the name suggests it, it was bred to be a herding dog. However, in ancient times, it was used mostly as a guard dog. This breed is originally from Egypt and named after the town of Armant. Its loyalty and agility are the two main characteristics which make this dog special.

The Atlas Terrier
The Small Dog With a Massive Dose of Energy

At a glimpse, the Atlas Terrier can be easily mistaken with the Jack Russell Terrier. However, there are some differences that may help you tell these two cousins apart. Before deciding to buy or adopt a dog of this breed, there are some things that you have to take into consideration. Unfortunately, this is quite a rare breed of dogs in our days.

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie
It Is Impossible Not to Love Them

Anglos-Francaises de Petite Venerie are the smallest dogs in the Anglos-Francais category. However, the name „Petite”, meaning „small”, is not at all referring to the size of the dogs, but to the game they are after. Even if they've been around since the 16th century, today, these dogs are not easy to find. So if you have decided to adopt one, you can be sure that you will have a unique pet.

Pet Tips

Does your dog shed

Dog shedding is part of everyday life for dog owners. While you there is no cure for dog shedding, there are some simple steps you can take to minimize shedding.
How to Control Shedding

Grooming is the often key to controlling dog hair. The hair is going to fall out, it is better to brush your dog's coat daily or more and remove the hair yourself, rather than having dog hair all over your floor, furniture and clothes.

Some dogs only shed seasonally, such as in the spring when they are shedding winter coats that are no longer needed, and may even require twice daily brushings during those periods. In general, dogs with smooth coats will only need brushing once or twice a week, while dogs with silky coats might need brushing three to four times a week. Long haired dogs normally require daily brushing to keep their coats looking their best.

Feeding your dog a high quality food with plenty of Omega 3 fatty acids will keep him healthy and his coat nice and shiny. Vacuum frequently to keep your house dog hair free(or as close as possible). Some owners report dogs who don't mind being vacuumed themselves!

If you allow your dog on the furniture (I know I do), try to designate one chair or area he is allowed and install a furniture cover over it. This will make it so you can simply toss the cover in the washer once a week rather than having to clean dog hair off all your furniture. The same can be done for your car. Dog hair is very difficult to get out of car upholstery and carpet. It just seems to stick. A car seat cover can help a lot, and you can use a mat on top of the regular car mat to help keep dog hair off the car floor boards.
