3 acre, fully fenced dog park for off-leash play. Membership required: call 919-304-2300 ext. 233 or e-mail dogtraining@animalprotectionsociety.org to schedule an orientation. Membership only. Annual memberships available; temporary memberships available to current dog training program students. Park is open 365 days/year, has excellent natural shade, and doggie pools with water are provided. Location: 6311 Nicks Road. Directions: From NC-54, head west out of Carrboro for ~10 miles. Turn right at Mebane Oaks Road, go two miles. Turn right at Nicks Road, go 0.6 mile. Turn left into the APS of Orange County. From I-40/I-85, take exit 254. Turn south (away from Mebane) on Mebane Oaks Road, go six miles. Turn left on Nicks road, go 0.6 miles. Turn left into the APS of Orange County.
