The Terre Haute Humane Society was incorporated in 1913, and is one of the oldest Humane Societies in the United States. Serving the community by providing shelter for lost, abandoned and abused animals in Vigo County.
We are proud that we have reduced the need of euthanasia from 84 in 2000, to less than 10 in 2008, while still accepting an average of 3000 animals per year. Thank you to those who care enough to adopt and rescue our homeless animals!
THe Terre Haute Humane Society is a private non-profit 501c3 organization.
