Pets In Need (PIN) was founded in 1965 by Jean Mahoney and Alice Hodges to help lost pets get home and to provide information about pet care to people. Most of all they wanted all dogs and cats to have loving homes. In 1993 Pets In Need entered a new era of service to our community's animals with the purchase of a plumbing supply warehouse and retrofitted it to be an adoption shelter. No animal suitable for re-homing is every put to death... no matter how long it takes. PIN is committed to finding homes for each animal in the shelter. Every dog or cat is spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Pets In Need is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is not funded by a city or county animal control contract.
