Pet Haven is a volunteer, non-profit corporation of dedicated individuals who give of their time and resources for the well-being of homeless animals. While Pet Haven, Inc. of Minnesota deals with both cats and dogs, Pet Haven's Internet presence is maintained by the Cat Division and is dedicated exclusively to cats.
Established in 1952, Pet Haven is chartered as a non-profit charitable corporation.
Our goal is to provide food, shelter, and necessary veterinarian services to needy animals. Pet Haven maintains a no-kill policy except in cases when euthanasia is deemed the only viable, reasonable and humane option. Contributions are tax deductible.
Today, we have about 500 members. A nine member board of directors, elected by the general membership, establishes policies and coordinates the activities of volunteers.
Pet Haven maintains a spay/neuter program, a foster home program and hosts regularly scheduled Adoption Day events.
Pet Haven's goal is to provide basic care, veterinary services, and ultimately, permanent homes to needy animals. To do this, we maintain a spay/neuter program, a foster home program and sponsor cat adoptions.
