It is difficult to get a full assessment of a dog’s personality when it has been in a kennel all day. They are excited to be out and about, they are excited to see new people and not to mention any other distractions. To help with this issue Dr. Emily Weiss has developed a program called “Meet Your Match”, which we have recently implemented here at the Nevada Humane Society. The main goal of the program is to appropriately place dogs with a family that he or she will become part of. It allows us to monitor more of the dogs habits, good or bad, that may be display in a home environment. Please fill out our survey and let us know what color rating you are when you come in.
