We are the McPherson Animal Shelter we are funded by the City of McPherson. We only take in dogs that are found running at large in the city limits we also take surrender dogs that live in the city limits of McPherson. We keep them for 6 days to give the owner a chance to claim hisher pet. If they are not claimed after 6 days, we put them up for adoption. Our facility is open to the public 1200-130 pm 430-600 pm seven days a week. Our mission here in the City of McPherson to place our friends in a good home and to educate our clients.

Our adoption fees are $10.00 adoption fee, $80.00 spayneuter deposit and $25.00 rabies vaccination deposit. If you adopt a dog that is under 6 months of age, we give you until the dog is 6 months old to get them spayedneutered and a rabies vaccination. If the dog is 6 months or older we give you 2 weeks to get spayedneutered and a rabies vaccination. Also if you live in the City limits of McPherson, the city requires you to purchase a city tag before you can get your deposit back. After you have your pet altered and vaccinated you must either bring in a copy of the rabies certificate a invoice showing the pet has been altered or you can mail it or fax it to us, then the City of McPherson will issue you a check in the mail for $105.00 deposit back.
