Thank you for your interest in Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue Resource! The Low Country Golden Retriever Rescue Resource is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established in 1991, incorporated in 2001 and based in the Charleston, South Carolina area. We rescue Golden Retrievers who have been abandoned, abused or given up by their owners. These Goldens are then cared for medically (spay/neuter, treated for heartworm, etc.). While their medical needs are being attended to, they are kept in foster homes. During fostering time, their behavior is evaluated to see how they interact with other animals and people. This information is used when selecting an appropriate adoptive home.
