The Kingston Humane Society (KHS) was founded in 1884. The purpose of the KHS is to provide service to Kingston and the surrounding communities by caring for injured, abused and homeless animals. Our programs include adoption, animal cruelty investigations, providing emergency rescue, promoting spay and neuter programs and assisting with the education of Veterinary Technology and Veterinary Assistant Students.

The Kingston Humane Society is a non profit – charitable animal welfare organization supported solely by public and corporate donations, memberships, grants, bequests, fundraising campaigns and fees for service. Although the Society upholds and enforces municipal, provincial and federal government laws, we receive no government funding or tax dollars.
