The Humane Society of Cascade County recognizes the escalating problem of animal overpopulation. As part of an effort to encourage spay/neuter, we have developed a program with participating local veterinarians whereby certain special animals are chosen to be spayed/neutered as a complimentary service from these generous veterinarians.
Because of the number of animals we shelter, we would never be able to afford this service if it were not for those empathetic and devoted veterinarians who provide us a certain number of spay/neuters per month at no cost to the shelter as part of our Guardian Angel Program. We hope that this program not only helps the individual animal and owner but contributes to the education of all people that birth control (spay/neuter), not euthanasia, is the answer to animal overpopulation.
